About Me

If you have found this page you most likely already know that my name is Eli Gomez and that I live in Arkansas.

I always knew I was meant to do spiritual work. How? I really don’t know. I just knew that every bit of media I consumed that involved “magic” or “metaphysics” resonated with me on some spiritual level. I knew that these were fiction and knew that “Hollywood” is not even close to reality. Realizing this at the age of 6 is quite interesting because I did not have the vocabulary to explain it, or the ability to understand the psychology behind it. Due to my Christian upbringing, I made mental connections that to some may seem contradictory: “real world” magic happened at church and that church was the equivalent of spirituality and magic, just in the “real world.”

Well the universe was about to prove me dead wrong in the proceeding decade.

I first discovered astrology back in February of 2020 (which at the time was the exactitude of Pluto’s conjunction to my natal Venus), just before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. I had just come out to those around me, as well as myself, and was looking for a little bit of energetic forecast of some sort. So what does an eighth grader who has not exactly emotionally matured yet do? They turn to recycled ‘horoscopes’ on MSN! It was also during this time where I began opening my mind up to the spiritual realm a little bit, for that door just to be slammed shut again as I began watching ‘The View’ once schools shut down (Disclaimer: I still watch “The View,” I just use discernment now). Note to my past self: just because Whoopi Goldberg or Joy Behar say something and you like their personalities doesn’t make what they have to say true!

I pretty much closed off spirituality other than what was allegedly being facilitated and taught in church from the spring of 2020 to around 2022 when I discovered Malorie Avaline-a metaphysical minister in Oklahoma. I began watching and listening to her content and became aware of certain ways that the church was harming others, as well as myself, even if it was unintentional. As being a Christian at the time, I took what I was ready to and left the rest, but beginning to notice through many painful experiences with the church that she were elements of truth to what she was saying.

Malorie had a podcast episode where she interviewed an astrologer. I listened to that particular episode during the autumn of 2022. This episode was my gateway into astrology. I was already dabbling in tarot but the words this astrologer was saying really led me to the subject. I realized that there may truly be validity to it and that astrology is NOT ‘witchcraft’ or horoscopes you read in the newspaper. A month later, my social media algorithm led me to Laurie Rivers (I believe it was specifically her Scorpio Mercury video). I resonated with her energy immediately and knew I wanted to listen to every podcast, watch every video, and listen to every word this woman had to say (or didn’t say, for that matter, because I kind of learned to read between the lines with some of her predictions).

This leads me to today where I am now: honored to be in a mentorship with Laurie. I took myriad classes and read myriad books by myriad authors concerning astrology and am now applying that knowledge. I look forward to continuing on Laurie’s legacy, the legacies of her teachers, as well as her teachers’ teachers, and would like to thank her for giving me this incredible opportunity.
